Overview

Row Properties allow you to customize the appearance and behavior of an entire row. Because every content block is placed inside a row, changes made to a row affect all of the content it contains.

Use Row Properties to control the overall design of a section of your email, including its background, spacing, borders, mobile behavior, and column layout.

Selecting a Row

Before modifying Row Properties, you must first select the row you want to edit.

To select a row:

1. Hover over the left or right edge of a row on the design canvas.
2. Click outside of the content area to select the entire row.

Once selected, the Properties panel updates to display the available Row Properties.

Row Properties

Row Properties are organized into several sections, each controlling a different aspect of the row.

Backgrounds

The Backgrounds section controls the appearance behind your content.

Available options include:

• Row Background Color
• Content Area Background Color
• Row Background Image

Use these options to visually separate sections of your email or reinforce your branding.

Borders

The Borders section controls the outline and corners of the row's content area.

Available options include:

• Content Area Border
• Content Area Rounded Corners

Borders can be used to highlight important sections or create card-style layouts.

Layout

The Layout section controls the spacing and responsive behavior of the row.

Available options include:

• Content Area Padding
• Vertical Alignment
• Stack on Mobile
• Hide On

These settings help optimize the layout for both desktop and mobile devices.

Cards Style

Cards Style provides additional styling options for rows containing multiple columns.

Available options include:

• Column Spacing
• Cards Rounded Corners

These settings help create modern card-based layouts by adding spacing between columns and rounding their corners.

Column Structure

The Column Structure section allows you to customize the appearance of individual columns within the selected row.

Available options include:

• Column Background
• Column Padding
• Column Border

Each column maintains its own set of styling options, allowing different columns within the same row to have unique appearances.

Best Practices

• Apply row-level styling before customizing individual content blocks.
• Use consistent spacing throughout your email.
• Limit the number of background colors to maintain a clean design.
• Preview your layout on mobile after changing stacking or visibility settings.
• Use Cards Style sparingly to create emphasis without overwhelming the design.
