Duplicate Recipients Check

The Duplicate Recipients Check tool allows you to analyze recipient overlap across multiple lists. This tool helps you understand how subscribers are distributed across lists and identify recipients who appear on more than one list.

This feature is intended for data analysis and list management.

Note: PostUp automatically performs duplicate suppression during mailing sends, ensuring a recipient will not receive the same mailing multiple times even if they exist on multiple selected lists.

How Duplicate Recipients Check Works

The tool compares recipients across the lists you select and returns a breakdown of how many recipients appear across those lists.

Results are displayed as:

Number of Lists : Duplicate Recipients

For example:

3 : 0 → No recipients appear on all three lists
2 : 2 → Two recipients appear on two of the selected lists
1 : 39 → Thirty-nine recipients appear on only one of the selected lists

This information helps you understand how much audience overlap exists between your lists.

Running a Duplicate Recipients Check

To analyze duplicate recipients:

Navigate to Duplicate Check which is under Lists
In the Available Lists panel, select one or more lists to analyze.
Use the arrow button to move those lists into the Selected Lists panel.
Click Check Duplicates.

PostUp will analyze the lists and display the overlap results.

Creating a List from Duplicate Recipients

After reviewing the results, you can generate a list containing the overlapping recipients.

To create this list:

Click Create List With Duplicates.
PostUp will generate a new list containing recipients identified as duplicates across the selected lists.

This list can be used for further segmentation or analysis.
