Automated Exports
Automated exports allow you to extract member data, based on set criteria, on a recurring basis.

Creating an Automated Export
- Once logged in, click on the Export tab.
- Click the Create Export link. The Configure Export page will appear.
- Enter the name of the export into the Title field.
- [Optional] Enter any additional information about the export into the Description field.
- Select the Export Type by clicking on the appropriate radio button.
Hover over the tool tip icons (
) to learn more about the available export types. will display additional export fields based on the selected export.
- Select one of the following options from the Query Type dropdown menu:
- All Criteria (AND): configures the query to include all data parameters. The export file will only include member records that fulfill the specified criteria.
- Any Criteria (OR): configures the query to include any of the specified data parameters. The export file will include member records that fulfill any of the specified data values.
- Define the data parameters for the export using the Query Fields.
- Please format all date fields as YYYY-MM-DD.
- The substitution tag [-lastExportTime-] allows users to pull new member data (based on the applied query) since the last date of export. If used in a first-time export, PostUp will ignore the row containing the substitution tag.
- Select to export the specified data from the Entire Database or from a specific List.
- If exporting from a specific list, users will have the option to export members based on Subscription and/or Confirmation.
- Check the desired Export Fields to dictate which data points PostUp should include with the automated export.
- Select to receive the export at a specific hour or on a specific day on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Click on the radio button next to the selected delivery method.

The export file type and format relies on how the user selects to receive the member data:
Attachment: PostUp will always zip the data into groups of 5,000 lines. For example, if a user exports 10,000 lines, the user will receive two email messages.
Web Download: PostUp will always zip the export file.
- Select the Field Delimiter from the dropdown menu.
- [Optional] Enter an email address into the On Error field to receive a notification if the export fails.
- [Optional] Enter an email address into the On Completion field to receive a notification when the export completes.
- Click Save.
Managing Automated Exports
- Once logged in, click on the Export tab.
- Select from the following options to manage the site’s automated exports:
- Enable/ Disable: Pause or start an automated export.
- Edit: Make one or more changes to an existing export.
- Delete: Remove any of the existing exports from the PostUp platform.
